Federico Fellini International Airport is only 8 kilometers far from the city centre of Rimini and 11 kilometers from the new fairground in Rimini Celle. Rimini Airport is a perfect link to many towns in Italy and a perfect link from Italy to Europe and World too. The airport can be easily reached also from Milan, Rome and other major towns by car, train or airplane. It is easily reachable from Bologna (Motorway A14, exit Rimini Sud) and Ancona (Motorway A14, exit Riccione), from Ravenna (Main Road 16 Adriatica), from Perugia (Highway E45) and from other cities through street, railway and air connections. The air terminal provides all the main services: information desk, ticket counter, coffee shops, self service restaurant, duty free shops, bank and cash point, car hires, forwarding agents, parking area. It’s also possible to go shopping both in the Schengen and Extra Schengen area of the airport. Rimini airport also has car rental agency, where passengers can choose among numerous different types of vehicles for their trip. Airport Rimini is mainly used by low cost airlines for international routes. Airlines flying to RMI include Ryanair and TUIfly. For internal flights it is necessary to check-in at least one hour before the scheduled departure time. For all other flights you should arrive at least two hours before the scheduled departure time. The check-in desk closes 30-40 minutes before departure time, depending on the rules of the airline you are flying with, after the check-in closure you are not allowed to board the airplane, therefore you will miss your flight. You are allowed to take on board only one piece of hand luggage, which must not exceed 5 kilos in weight and 115 centimetres in size.
